My PhD work is focused on the role other effective area-based conservation measures can play, alongside protected areas, in conserving marine biodiversity. I’m interested in the biodiversity benefits that can arise from anthropogenic features, such as wind farms, shipwrecks or aquaculture, and how these interface with the existing network of marine protected areas.
